Our Approach to Private Guiding in Girona
Ride Girona the way it’s meant to be experienced
Girona is one of Europe’s most respected cycling destinations — known for its quiet roads, legendary climbs, and extensive gravel network. But what truly makes a ride here exceptional is knowing how to connect the right roads, at the right time, in the right way.
As a local cycling guide based in Girona, I create fully personalized rides designed around you — your fitness, your riding style, and what you want to experience on the bike.
Every ride is individually designed — route, distance, pace, terrain, and stops so your experience feels seamless, natural, and completely your own.
Meet Your Guide
My name is Heine Christensen. I’m originally from Denmark, and Spain has been my home since 2006. I’ve lived and ridden across regions all across northern Spain, Italy and France, and now Girona where I’m based today. I speak fluent Spanish and English.
Since 2016, cycling has been a central part of my life, with a focus on road riding, gravel, and multi-day bike packing. I’ve spent countless days riding both iconic climbs and quiet, lesser-known roads across Europe.
What I offer isn’t just guiding, it’s access.
Access to routes you wouldn’t find on your own, ridden in a way that feels right for you. Girona’s landscape offers incredible variety, and especially through gravel riding, a quieter and more immersive experience of the region.

Local knowledge that changes the ride
Living and riding in Girona year-round means knowing far more than just the main routes. It’s understanding which roads stay quiet, which climbs suit different riders, when conditions are best, and where to stop along the way.
Years of exploring the region on road and gravel bikes — including long-distance and multi-day rides — allow us to design experiences that go beyond standard routes or pre-set tours.
The difference isn’t just where you ride — it’s how the ride is put together.
